Transplant for Alasdair
«
on:
March 16, 2008, 02:22:29 PM »
Hi All,
Just wanted to share some good news, last Monday I got the call at 3am and asked to come in as they had a kidney for me. I left the hospital on Friday and so far all is working well. I go back tomorrow for my first bloods/ check up.
I had been on dialysis for three and a half years this time, for anyone else who has been on dialysis for a while, I hope your turn comes soon.
I have not been around much as I started a new job in the beginning of the tear and have been fairly busy, but will have some time off for a while.
All the best
Alasdair

Check-in tomorrow and tell us how your follow-up went. And please tell us all about "the call" and what happened after that. Very exciting!!
