The downtown area was the area hit.  The Georgia Dome has much damage, also CNN building. Lots of
buildings in the downtown area damaged.  The strorm hit Atlanta and then spread out to other communities
around.  We have no info on the other communities yet.  No deaths have been reported yet either.

Last night's storm there were no fatalaties. It hit downtown Atlanta. I live about 40 miles north of there.

We just had a string go through here. Thankfully, none seem to have touched down in the county I live in, but they hit the counties to the west and east. There were some fatalaties in the county two to the west of here. My family and I just spent about 30 minutes in the storage area under our stairs.

In short, we're ok. Thanks for the PM's and people checking on us.

We just had another one pass through the area. Spent another little while in our safe place. Some hail, but no tornado here in our area. Still under a tornado watch until 7:00 EDT tonight. I went out in the yard and found a piece of hail that was about 2 inches long and around 1 inch thick. Lots of other little pieces. No damage in our immediate area that I can see, though.

KT -- get back in that house and in your safe place!!  Those tornadoes can pop up and touch down in a split second.  (I feel like your mother now -- do I sound like her?  :rofl;)

There were no more in this area, or even headed this way once I came out that last time. They all seem to be south of here again...going straight through downtown Atlanta AGAIN! Just severe thunderstorms this time, I believe. Thanks, now I have three moms!  :urcrazy;
