a caregiver's poem

I define my life
A divine balancing act
Heart muscle on the rope
Poised on the rope pulled tight
I define myself
Strong defined heart muscle
From working out every day
All that working it out
Working muscle into shape
The shape of blood red
The strength of many colors
Of black and white and every gray
Every day I define my strength
The clock keeps ticking
Precious moments on the rope
The rope pulled tight
