Here in southeastern NC, we've had 36 hours of rain, and we're expecting it to continue until Sat. afternoon.  Temp has been in the 60's.  I'm glad it's not snow.

Come West! It's 79 today, light breeze, fruit trees are full of blossoms and roses are sprouting new leaves.
I wish I could share it with you, I would send a box full of sunshine to you OB!

We are supposed to get snow, freezing ,rain and rain starting tomorrow afternoon and Sunday.  It's time for winter to be over now and let spring take over.  Well here in Newfoundland we don't really get much of spring.  Usually still cool and wet.  Good thing about it is spring flowers usually stay in bloom a little longer here.  Usually don't bloom until  at least May though!!!  Seems like we go from winter to summer!!!  I can't wait!!!!!

OB, my sister in New Concord just called.  They are predicting 15 inches and blizzard conditions. She is not happy! Haven't talked to my brother in Worthington, but am worried for all of you in the Columbus area.  Stay safe and warm!   We are enjoying our wonderful rain today. It is a steady rain that will finally make a difference in our drought.  I am filling lots of containers for wateriing later.  We aren't allowed to water outdoors or wash cars.  Lots of brown yards and dirty cars!

paris, we're in the same situation you are with the no outdoor watering. Thankfully we've had lots of rain in the last two or three weeks, so hopefully by summer we'll be back to "normal". They're calling for possible snow tonight, though. Sure wish it would make up it's mind...it was close to 70 yesterday - not supposed to get above the low 40's tomorrow.

The wife is in Milwaukee this weekend and she called when she got there and was surprised to see 6" of the white stuff. Kitkatz is probably in Chicago but I wonder if she built a snowman before she left Milwaukee.

We are buried...could be a foot before it ends later today...the town is at a complete standstill, everything is closed, so we'll be just bunkering down and letting the kids play outside for awhile!

My mom lived in upstate New York, close to Lake Erie when she was younger (40 years ago), and she has some stories about lake effect snow!

I live in Upstate New York-( Rochester) and we are having a major snow storm! There is already about maybe 7 or 8 inches of snow and we are expected to get maybe 6-10 more inches tonight! I was slipping and sliding driving home from dialysis last night, thank god I made it home safe. Stay warm everyone else who is getting snow! :snowman;

My daughter-in-law niss from Bath NY, in the beautiful finger lakes region.
Traveling from Ohio up to Bath is a long drive sometimes with the lake snow effect.
She goes into Rochester sometimes for major purchases, like her wedding dress.

Boxman and Karen live near "lake effect snow."  My sympathies.  I've been listening to Buffalo weather reports ever since I can remember and always wondered why people even live in Buffalo, NY.  Not that my area doesn't get its share of snow, sleet (which apparently is different than freezing rain for some reason), etc.

The big news in my neighborhood is they took away the five feet snowbanks on Thursday and Friday of this last week!!!  Oh, there are houses across the street from me?  Hadn't seen them for a while.  The big storm we were suppose to get this weekend has been a non-event so far.  Thank goodness.   :2thumbsup;

It isn't fun Boxman, it isn't fun!
I was fortunate that I could stay in.
There is a little traffic out today.  Yesterday nothing hardly.
Plus people were stranded at the Ohio airports, where Columbus had 20-1/2".
The driveways here have about snow 18" deep in them, where it's not drifted.
Thurs. will be in 50's and then we will have to worry about flooding.

Chicago had snow, but Milwaukee is colder and had an inch of snow as we left for Chicago. We were out in it at 5 a.m. walking to the bus stops.  I have one word to say BRRRR!
