Okay, I noticed a few people here in Texas

Kidney4traci - Houston
devon - Ft. Worth area
donnia - San Angelo
lauiie - Ennis
kellyt (ME!!) - San Antonio

I know there are others, so please know this pertains to you as well.

Let's get together somewhere "in the middle"!!   I am chomping at the bit to physically meet people in my situation!  I work at home so my time is pretty open.  San Antonio is a beautiful city if all are interested in coming here, but I'd be willing to travel, as well.    Austin, the Hill Country  WHERE???????

Just a quick weekend meeting would really be great!  I believe the theme parks will be opening soon (Spring Break), so we can go to Fiesta Texas and/or Sea World.  They have combo passes I think.  I'll some research if anyone is interested in getting together!!!!    :beer1;

And OF COURSE anyone willing to come to our Texas meeting is most welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   ;D

 :pics; Kelly, I'd be interested in getting together. My husband and I love going to San Antonio, so maybe we can figure something out. Let me know what dates are good for you.

Kelly....

I MISS San Antonio!  My father was a native Texan, my brother was born there, and I spent 13 years there!
UT grad......Hook em' Horns!
Most of my time was in San Antonio... after graduating, worked at Santa Rosa Childrens Hospital downtown.

I think I miss Fiesta most of all.....especially the confetti eggs !  (cascarones?)
I used to work on the Riverwalk, waitressing at one of the Marriott's restaurants. When people only left me change for a tip,
I'd say "Thanks for the wish", and throw it in the river!!!!
My brother was a bartender at Durty Nelly's.
Oh....can't forget Taco Cabana.......spent many wee hours of the morning waiting in line with many others who had too much to drink  ;)....

Great memories....thanks !        kelliOR  (formerly known as kelliTX)

Hey!  Yes, San Antonio is a fund town.   I say "town", because it has been said that San Antonio is like a large town.  People are quite friendly.  I run into people I know all the time.  We are having a horrible time with road construction these days.  The city has decided it would be best to destroy and rebuild almost every major road/hwy in town.  It's a real pain.  But othe than that you can beat it!

Let's have a meeting in San Antonio in 2009!  There are truly some amazing sites.  The Alamo, The Missions, Fiesta (coming up in April), Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Sea World, Retama Horse Racing, etc.  And the beach is just a couple hours drive!!!!

Come on.....................      :clap; :clap; :clap;

What week is your spring break?  I'm not going anywhere in the next few weeks.  You can call me and we can meet for dinner or something.
