I didn't get the flu but I had a cold for 3 month's that turned into bronchitis, and then the antibiotics they gave me didn't work for that, so iI got pnemonia. So I was coughing, couldn't breathe or smell and felt horrible for about 5 month's total all because of a cold.

Yup, I got it. Started yesterday. It sucks!

That does suck.  Better hunker down, lay in some food and movies, and plan on at least a week of it.  Hope you feel better soon!

Thats awful Angela.  Been there, done that.  It was about 9 1/2 months before I started dialysis so my body was in lousy shape already.  It was also bronchitis progressing to pneumonia during a trip through Europe.  We still have a souvenir from that trip, my chest xray from the Central Hospital de Reims.  Oh what fun that was!

My question is where the hell does all this "stuff" come from? How can my body produce so much on such a constant basis! Yuck!

My oldest grandson got it last week.  Had to miss 2 days of work with high fevers and coughing.  None
of the rest of us got it, thank the Lord.  Hope you feel better soon, Kit.

Flu is really bad in Texas or at least the Dallas area.  I had it even though I got the shot.  I was sick for about 4 weeks.  Then my daughter got it and then my ex got it.  It's really hitting a lot of people at my work (AT&T), so if your bills are messed up, that's the reason.  ha-ha!

Hey - thanks a lot, kit!  No wonder my computer is screwed up again.  When I turned it on this morning, it was in "handicap accessible" mode, which means everything on the screen is big enough to read from across the room!  Now when I have hubby fix it, I'm going to blame it on you!

I may have caught something at dialysis too! SOOO many people come to treatment hacking up their lungs! It's nasty! I'm thankfully feeling like new again, but that one day was tough.

kitkatz, you can add me to the list of the nasty flu bug and unfortunately I have have given it to Len. I called the doctor and they said to make sure he drank plenty and rested. That's not a problem, it seems to be all we want to do.   :banghead; What's the deal that the flu shot this year doesn't seem to be helping much?

oh, willieandwinnie -- not you and Len, too!

You two drink lots, rest lots, and try to take care of each other!  Stay in your pjs all day!

Dah, the flu!  After being "down" last week and feeling all over achey and crummy, I finally realized I had been running a fever for several days and then when the wonderful side effects of the flu hit me---I realized I was sick.  It is hard sometimes to sort out what is going on. I throw up several days a week when I don't have the flu and am alway freezing; so it took me awhile to put 2 and 2 together.  Luckily, after 4 days, all is well. :thumbup;
