Well, I decided to have a Surgeon look at my belly, to see if he thinks I can do PD. Originally, my Neph ( who has since left the practice) told me with all my stomach operations and the mesh that was put in, he didn't feel I would be a good candidate for PD. After talking with the PD nurse though, she said it would at least be worth looking into, so she called the Surgeon (the one who did my fistula) and made me an appointment. It will be March 5th, right after dialysis. Please keep it in your prayers, Thanks

Best of luck with your appointment JP.  If they allow it PD will get you out of the unit and give you greater freedom and better dialysis as well.  Fluid and diet restrictions will be loosened.  I hope they give it a go and it happens for you.

I'll keep you in my thoughts Joe Paul. Wouldn't it be great to get out of the clinic setting. I'll say a prayer for you. :cuddle;

KT, you know you are the one who got me thinking (previous rant). Thankyou, and hopefully I will be able to do this. The PD nurse said to me, "you will probably go through this and get all set up, then be called for a transplant". Oh, that would be a gift, but , I would just like to be able to be in control of my own dialysis until the transplant happens.
