March Madness will be here before we know it.
Do you like it?
Last year was good but I sometimes don't
like it when a favorite program is not on because of it.
And it seems to go on for sooo long.
Just wondering.

Marvin LOVES March Madness!  He will watch anybody play anybody else.

I could take it or leave it.  I'll watch if a team I like is playing.  If not, *click* I'm on to the Lifetime Channel to find a good movie.  Of course, Marvin gets the big tv in the den to watch ball, and I have to go curl up on my bed and watch the smaller screen.

It's college basketball's "finals" to see who is the champion!  It lasts for weeks (during March)...there are games on tv at all times of the day and night.

Sluff, were you having a "blonde" moment?

I love college basketball. It is getting tougher to watch though, because of cheating. Look at the situation in Indiana with Kelvin Sampson. They knew he was a cheater at Oklahoma, but the urge to win was too much. In my opinion, if they want to eliminate cheating, the NCAA should do the following: Because the head coach is ultimately responsible for his program, if the program is cited for recruiting violations, they should stay with the coach. In other words, if his program is said to be dirty, should he decide to go somewhere else, the penalties he was stuck with at the first job should remain with him. That way, other schools would be more reluctant to hire these slimeballs. I will enjoy watching the March Madness, but a little less than in years past.

Wait a minute, isurvived ... Kelvin Sampson is a North Carolina boy -- he grew up 45 miles from where Marvin and I live.  Marvin said Sampson didn't do anything that a lot of other college coaches haven't done -- and are still doing.  He just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

Marvin said to send MyssAnne his condolences -- she only has Indiana to pull for.  Here in NC, we have Duke, NC State, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Wake Forest to cheer for.  Of course, Marvin only pulls for UNC when the other three have been eliminated from "the dance."

Marvin said, "Go, NC State Wolfpack!  Bring on the March Madness."  (He also added that NC State would never make it this year, so he's going to also pull hard for Duke.)

LOL!!! Petey, tell Marvin I appreciate his condolences....but we only NEED one...you obviously need more to compensate!!!
 :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

I've been reading about Sampson, he SAYS he isn't gonna worry about it til the time comes, he has games to coach now!!

Well, he got caught "with his hand in the cookie jar" more than once and then lied about it. I personally don't care where he is from, if you get caught, cheating is cheating. Period.

Actually, cheating is still cheating -- even if you don't get caught!

I cannot stand pro sports of any kind. In the case of baseball, I like the weather and that's it. They cheat more than the college athletes or their coaches do.

If you live in NC, you plan your work schedule around March Madness.  It is almost a religion down here.  We pull for NCState but I will be a loyal UNC fan if they give me a new kidney! :rofl;

Paris,  Marvin is usually an "ABC" fan -- "Anybody But Carolina" -- however, he said he'd become a UNC fan if they give you a new kidney, too.  (But, until then, "Go, NC State Wolfpack!")

You know it's too bad that the kids have to get caught in the middle of all of this stuff. As I have said before, there are steps that the NCAA could take to eliminate cheating, but the question remains, will they do it?
