I went to Jamaica two summers ago and visited Bob's tomb.  If you can filter out the tourism aspects of it it is really moving.  I traveled by myself and took a hour taxi to the site.  There were kids and villagers hanging over the fence selling splifs like your neighborhood 8 year olds sell lemonaide.  They looked pretty nice but I had brought my own.  8)  Bob Marley's music is timeless, I will love it until the day I die.

Were you able to take any pics of the tomb?  OH man, what a site that must've been.  I have loved Bob since my teens when my brother used to listen to it.  When i met Sam, he never even heard of it, but let me tell you, we got Bob Marley all over our house, in our car, posters in our garage.  He appreciates him now, let me tell you.   ;)

We did go visit Richie Valens grave down in San Bernadino,  ::)

Yo
Music is such a big part of our lives in so many ways,   or maybe you and your spouse have a song, Please share with me.......

I like Johnny Cash, Neil YOung, John Melloncamp, Alison Krauss, U2, Rolling Stones, Zeppelin,  I like a little of everything from Irish traditional music to Van Morrison, to dosco to Rap/Hip/Hop, anything.  My iPod looks like a scheznophrenics music list with everything I have, I have Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Shakira, Brad Paisley.  Music is a lifesaver for me, I can't live without it.  It makes me happy, it makes me cry, it makes me question things.
Joey Ramone (of the Ramones) grave is right near where I live in Lyndhurst, NJ.  His gravesite s always loaded with stuffed animals and toys, flowrds, all kinds of stuff.  I'll take a picture and post it.

Sorry Susie, no pictures allowed.  There were some plants close by that I took a pic of though. ;)

Me too Donna.

 I take my Ipod just about everywhere I can.  I have a connection in the car too so I even listen to it there.  When I think about it, music has been better to me that any mood enhancing drug has ever been.  That's saying alot too!  I really like you list of artists there, I can't believe I forgot the Stones in my post!

Possibly the best show I have ever seen (I've seen my share) was Pink Floyd at Carter Finely Stadium, in Raleigh, NC, 1994 I think it was.  Just OUTSTANDING 8) 8)
Maybe it was the Pulse tour?  I know some of you older guys and gals have been to some shows I would give my kidneys to go to.  SO, let's hear about them.  Any Woodstockers here?  I went to the 20th anniversary.  There was so much music and great performances but the Primus show on the second stage was it.  We waited 4 hours, let me repeat myself........4 L..o..n..g....hours for The Band to finish their set.  Sorry, not that into The Band.  Well, it had started to rain and Primus came on stage and....it was freakin awesome!!!!!!!!!!  My Name is Mudd was popular at the time and the entire crowd went wild when they played it, throwing mud up in the air and moshing all over the field.  I think it was after that show that all of the "mud people"  went nuts.  Les Claypool is my hero...........

Sounds like a lot of fun George, I never went to Woodstock I too am a little young for the the original Woodstock but I would have loved to see Hendrix doing the National Anthem left handed on a right handed guitar.

I dont know about the rest of you but i am a big music lover.

Yep, love it. I'm mainly into heavy metal and punk, but I love a wide range of stuff. My music collection is fairly large and even includes some classical. There's only certain things I cannot stand, such as country and some dance music. I love going to gigs, the next one I have tickets for is Slayer and Mastodon, next Saturday.

I also learnt to play the organ as a kid, and still like to dabble with it a bit now.

Oh man, you lucky s.o.b.  Where do you live again?  You just went to a Suicidal Tendencies show too, didn't you?  I saw Slayer years ago on a tour called Clash of the Titans.  You gotta know what I am talking about.  Slayer, Megadeath, Antxrax, and Alice in Chains (when they were just coming on to the scene).  That was probably like 15 yrs ago.  Holly s*!*  I am aging.  I had Seasons in my cd player yesterday and was letting loose.  Damn good stuff, you lucky s.o.b. (I did say that again).  You gotta tell me about the show!!! Lucky bleepin bleep bleep.

Hey George

I'm in Adelaide, South Australia. I missed Suicidal in February as they didn't come to Adelaide, but I have seen them on a number of occasions before. I have seen Slayer twice before.

Yes, I remember Clash of the Titans well, though that tour did not come to Australia. But the music media loved it - I remember it being labelled "Clash of the Egos" with particular emphasis on clashes between Dave Mustaine and Tom Araya  :rofl;

Oh btw, I'm not an "sob", I'm just a "b" lol. My gender is often confused on forums because my username sounds kind of masculine.

Sorry Country Music lovers, I have to agree with ILoveFluid.. Not really into country music at all. I listen to all kinds of music, and as I have a teenage daughter, I also get to listen to some strange music. My favourite right now is  "My Chemical Romance". I have them on my Ipod and have to listen to them at least once a day. Also love Robbie Williams and Bon Jovi...I dream about them too. :cuddle;. Liz

I like songs like
Horse with no name - America
American Pie - Don McLean
Hotel California - Eagles (most of their songs)
Jesus is just allright, China Grove, Black Water and some more Doobie Music
Lido Shuffle and Lowdown - Bozz Skaggs
anything Santana, old and new,

the list is never ending, i love all era's from 50's to now,  Hubby is a huge music buff so if you ever have any questions, he would probably know it... Keep on Rockin'  :2thumbsup;
