After going nuts over Iron Maiden when they first came to Australia (1985 - I was 10 and could not go to the concert   >:( ), and missing the next couple of tours, I finally saw them this week! I had to travel to Melbourne, but that's only an hour's flight!

I am still to utterly buzzed to go into detail, but I will come back to this thread and tell all bout my trip and hopefully share photos. I had totally the best time I've had since my transplant last year, and absolutely the best time I have had in as long as I can remember!

Back home in Adelaide now. Went back to work on Friday, and was still on a high - phew! Lucky for the weekend so I can come down.

Cool...I haven't seen Iron Maiden since a concert here in Pittsburgh, I think it was around 1982. If you go by songs, they opened with "Run to the hills"

Well, the set list was all old songs, the most (and only) recent one being Fear of the Dark. It was called the "Somewhere Back in Time Tour" so I think that was the intention.

In fact, I wrote the setlist down:
Aces High
2 Minutes to Midnight
Revelations
The Trooper
Wasted Years
The Number of the Beast
Run to the Hills
The Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Powerslave
Heaven Can Wait
Can I play with Madness
Fear of the Dark
Iron Maiden

ENCORE:
Moonchild
The Clairvoyant
Hallowed be thy Name

When I can get my scanner working again I'll share some photos - they're not very good quality, just taken with a disposable camera, but we were seated very close to the stage (tho it doesn't look it in the photos).

I just re-read my first post in this thread, and realised the way I worded it was funny. I made it sound like I had a great time having my transplant  :rofl;  :rofl;  :rofl;

Whilst having a transplant is a great thing, it sure wasn't fun lol.
