Has anyone else here seen a UFO?

I had an extremely close encounter in 1980... the thing sat on our back porch roof for three minutes.  It was a 10-foot long black diamond with a green light on each corner, made no noise except for a low rumbling that shook the house.  My sister and I watched it for a few minutes on the porch roof, then it moved off the roof and hovered in the yard before taking off.  It was blacker than the night sky.  Four jets from the local Air Force base chased it but couldn't get near it.  I remembered starting to walk into the living room-- then suddenly I was in bed and it was over an hour later.  My parents came home from a party and found my sister in front of the tv, shaking.  I forgot about the whole thing for the next five years-- but had false memories of having told everyone about it.  My sister remembers nothing about it.

I'm interested in any UFO sightings anyone has had, and also how it affected you-- did your personal and work relationships suffer at all?  Do you think you became more intuitive, or more confused?

While I have never had an encounter I do believe they exist, I just can't believe in a universe as big as ours we are alone.

I would be most interested in contacting someone from another planet, maybe as a penpal, or computer pal to discuss our perhaps differing methods of treating ERSD.  Next time you are visited by a ufo try to chat to the flyers and give them my email address.  Tell them that I'd be prepared to spend a weekend on their planet without dialysis or a longer period if they are able to provide dalysis comparale to that I receive here.

When I was a young lizard (about 10 or 11) I was sitting on the front steps of our house one night. It was summer, so I was allowed to stay up later. The streetlights had just come on and I sat there enjoying the quiet of our little street.
I heard a deep humming sound coming from the park, down the street. (The street was only one short block long, 16 houses, 8 on each side) and so I walked down to see. I strolled into the park, past the soccer bleachers, and there, hovering around 10 or 15 feet above the soccer field was an incredible sight. It was about half the size of a house but roundish, like a slightly flattened basketball. Around the edges a row of brightly colored lights rotated. I watched as it slowly floated from one end of the field to the other. Then, it slowly rose into the night sky to about 20 or 30 feet and suddenly shot off at an enormous speed at about a forty-five degree angle, into the void, until it became a tiny speck in the sky.
I'll always remember that sight, always.
But then, I've also had two near-death experiences, so maybe I'm just nuts.

I do believe there are beings out there, for certain. And I know that we would have closer and more open contact with them if humanity wasn't so crazy.

I never saw a UFO but I did see A huge Black triange with 3 lights which so many people think are UFO's, I was on my way to Atlantic City NJ and saw a sort of flying shadow just above the treeline, it was really hard to see!, being that I was right next to McGuire Airforce Base and the great Fort Dix NJ, it was most definately a camouflaged Stealth, and quite impressive!those things are coooooool as hell!!!

One night about 11:45 I was out in the desert driving westbound on Avenue D north of Lancaster.  I noticed some very bright lights in the sky that appeared to be stationary.  I continued driving for about another 5 miles but the lights didn't seem to move or change in brightness in any way.  I finally pulled over and just sat there watching these lights which still didn't seem to move or change in any way.  Ten minutes or so went by before I noticed some change in the lights...another 5 elapsed when it finally became apparent what was happening.  It was a slow moving aircraft that finally passed close enough to my location to be apparent.  The engine noise was there, it was just a plane and nothing else.

About UFO's...I will never believe unless I see it with my own eyes.

I saw a UFO when I was 7 years old- I actually saw two of them together, in broad daylight. We lived in the Philippines, at Clark Air Base, I was outside playing, I looked up and saw two round, silver disc's high above me. I went inside and told my family (they were watching TV) and no one would come outside. I went back outside and continued to watch them hover- then all of a sudden they darted behind a cloud. Finally my mother came out. they were gone....she has said since then that after the fact, she did believe me, I was too positive, and I never wavered in my belief in what I saw.

Now was it an Extraterrestial? I don't know, but I doubt it. I have seen and heard some very strange things living on air bases most of my life. Plus I am a skeptic at heart. I look at the stats though- the probability of this being the only inhabited planet in the cosmos sounds ridiculous. I would like to think if there were more advanced beings out there-they would know people are not ready to know them, our society, as a whole, is too ignorant to accept them I believe.

More probably we are just one more species of life- that will ultimately burn itself out. Our time is now-it may not last for millions of years-but only a few thousand.
and when our time is over- perhaps some other form of life will inhabit the earth- or maybe not.

i agree with you glitter. birds evolved from the dinosaurs, why would humans not have the same potential, to evolve into another form when the environment demands?

Elijah was taken up to heaven in a chariot...I believe what people may be seeing are these chariots the bible speaks of. Here is what I'm talking about: 2Kings 2:11  And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

This is just way so possible since I am sure Earth is not the only place in the whole universe with "intelligent life" and even the solar system.....I have  book somewhere that I read years ago about "strange" incidences" that people have had and yes I believe them and these people even had proof to the writer of this book.......

I think that I may have one time seem something and my mother was there too but we don't have proof other than my dad witnessing it but he and his father dismissed the whole thing and thought my mother and I were a couple of nuts.......

I was in Nashville and lived with this woman and her two daughters. We were sitting and talking her one daughter was sitting on my lap and looking through my telescope. My girlfriend was sitting on my right. The daughter sitting on my lap was always hyper. She knocked something over and we all bent down to pick it up. My hair o0n the back of my neck stood up. I just caught the tail end of it. It was as big as a house and felt like it came right over us. We all looked at each other as if to say was that real? Her and i shared a look that adults have when they don't want to scare the kids. The kids said nothing but later that night she asked me about it. I drew the tail end of the thing. She was scared and stooped talking about it. In the morning i was out on the deck drinking coffee when out of nowhere these four army helicopters were flying over the development we lived in.
