On Monday the 7th Mom was in a lot of pain. She refused to allow me to take her to the hospital but two hours later my sister took her in. She had a heart attack. After several days in the hospital things were looking up and the plan was for her to come home on the 14th. On the 12th we went to visit and mom was feeling really well. She looked great and we were laughing and planning on shopping the next day. She even called me later that evening to laugh some more on the phone. On the 13th at 4:30 in the morning my sisters and I recieved a call to get to the hospital, she had had another heart attack. Then things just spun out of control. Her spleen burst and they could get her blood pressure stable and they couldn't do surgery because they couldn't do dialysis. On her way to the CAT scan my sisters and I did get to tell her we loved her and she told us she loved us too. She was from that point in and out of it. She passed away peacefully at 5:29 p.m. The pain my heart felt at that moment was crushing. I lost my mom, friend, and hero in one second. God bless her soul.

Oh honey. How devastating. It hurts so much. I am so glad you were able to let her know you love her, and she was able to let you know that was well. My prayers are with you and your family.

I am so sorry. I am about the same age as your Mom - was 58 yesterday. My caring thoughts and prayers are with you. As Goofynina and others have said, it is good that you got to tell her that you loved her. I am praying for your continued strength as you deal with such a painful loss. Please keep posting. Tell us about her homegoing service. We are still in this with you.
