I played a mini-version in the '90s but this new one is SOOOOOO complicated.  By the time I figured out how to play, I had lost my sword, shield, and my armored pants!  It has taken me almost 3 hours to get them back and stock up some items for later, and I'm only battling the critters!  I still don't know how to do most of the things I'm supposed to be doing.  I need a tutor badly!!  My free trial runs out tomorrow so I need to figure out quick if I want to do this or not.  The 6 month subscription is an Xmas gift -- IF I want it.  Right now I don't know if I do or not.  The other choice is NetFlix, which I probably won't take as I rarely have time to actually sit down and watch a movie.  WoW I can play 5 minutes at a time and leave it for hours.

The original "WarCraft", Humans vs Orcs, had at least two trial freebie versions on-line that covered only the first three levels.  You could choose to be Human or Orc and play against the computer, or against another player.  I tried it back then because it was one of the few games you could play on a Mac with the single button mouse.  I still have it on my old Mac from the '90s.  It seemed so complicated at first but as I look back it was very easy, especially compared to the latest version which was revised this past fall.

I have been playing for several hours over the past week and there are still basic questions I cannot find the answer to, probably because I did not play the full version of the first one or either of the versions in between the original and this latest one.  Things like do ruined wolf pelts and burned candles have value?  How do you move food supplies into the ready access bar?  What can be done with woods spider webs?  Is it advisable to enter any of the mines?  How much spare armour and weapons should you keep on hand?  Does snow have an effect on life span?  How do you feed yourself?  (I've managed to eat a few times by accident but don't know what I did to activate it.)  Where do you get gold after the merchants quit buying your spoils of war?  How do you find the trainer who teaches you to skin out the hides and who buys them?

After I learn how to play I think I'll like this game.  Having the chat feature so you can talk to the other players is really cool.  Some have said they will help me with a quest tomorrow, since I would probably not survive if I went alone.  I'll know by Saturday morning if I have to be risen from the dead.  :lol;

Sorry I don't play the online version of WOW.  I used to play the original versions back in the day, but find the online version out now to be way to cartoonish and the majority of the players to be very immature.  I enjoy LOTRO (Lord Of The Rings Online) and run my own kinship on the Elindilmir server.  If anyone else plays LOTRO or is interested lemme know.
