I use Yahoo for my e-mail and instant messaging. For the last 3 days I am getting this message on my mail page, it comes and goes, and my account isn't able to send or receive e-mail when it appears:

Unusual Activity Detected

To protect you, your account has been suspended from sending, saving, and receiving mail for up to 48 hours

Something similar happened about 10 weeks ago when someone stole my password and had access to my account. That situation was resolved but I don't know what's going on now. So if anyone is sending me e-mail, I cannot receive any, nor answer the ones I have, just so you know. I searched Yahoo's security center and the help section, but there's nothing related to the message I am getting. Very strange.  ???

I have gmail, just prefer my yahoo, plus I have thousands of emails from kidney donors and patients! Would be so sad to lose them.

That's what the head of security said (well, he said "hacker" instead of "bonehead") but it now appears that yahoo is experiencing a glitch in their monitoring software - so hopefully it's resolved soon!

I did call them, got some nimrod the first time - he wasted about 10 minutes of my time until I asked for a supervisor, so he put me on hold another 10 mins so I hung up. Called back and got a nice woman named Rachel who escalated my email problem to a top priority with the engineering department. She said it was a problem that many people had called about, and she promised I would hear something soon. Never heard a thing but it was working about 15 mins later. What fun!  :bandance;
