What are your New Year's goals?
New Years resoultions: Do you make them? Do you break them? Care to share them?
While a lot of people who make New Years resolutions do break them, it has been claimed that making resolutions is useful.

I tried making some resolutions many years ago, but the pressure was so much I had to break them just so I could relax. Perhaps my goals were a little unrealistic. Trying to quit smoking, lose weight, increase exercise, be nicer to my hubby, go to more alanon meetings, get to work on time ... ARRRGH! Stop the insanity!! What was I thinking??

I managed most of last year's goals - lose weight, and get on home dialysis being the top two.  This year, I'm still on the lose weight one, of course.  I also want to get serious about doing more quilting and sculpting.  I can sell what I make, so I need to quit lazing around reading when I could be making more money.  I also need to make a couple of practical resolutions like "see a dentist more often," and "accept that I cannot change my family."

Well, my first resolution was to clean and organize my house, which I did already because I wrecked my car and it was in the shop for over a week...so, that was done.  My next resolution is to lose a little more weight between now and February.  And the next one is to get pregnant again.  Since I am not able to be my mom's donor, my hubby and I are trying to have a sibling for our son.  We have to do it the high tech way, though (In Vitro) and I start my shots in about 3 weeks.....then I'll do shots for a month, have surgery, and wait....lol....

I don't make resolutions because I hate to set myself up for failure ...

I will try and lose weight and exercise more .  O will try and communicate better with friends ,
and to become and all around better person .

Good luck to all that are trying to quit their bad habits , may you succeed at doing well
