(Besides new kidneys which I know a bunch of you want.) What would you really like to see under the tree with your name on it? Me I just want 2 things. A Wii and a remote car starter. If I have to pick one it would be the Wii, but then again I am sick of freezing my butt off every winter. No no no I wanna a Wii.

I can't think of one thing I want that I can realistically expect to get - a new house or new car won't fit under the tree, or into anyone's budget.  I've got a few books I'd like to get, but the people who buy me gifts don't know which ones, so the best I can wish for is a gift certificate to Amazon, I think.

Gonna have to think on this one. A XBox 360 would be nice, but would gather more dust than being used and the expensive games hinders the real need for one. Hmm, I don't know what I want.

It is a video game - but not a traditional one.  Instead of sitting in place, pressing button on a pad, the game controller is motion sensitive.  To play tennis, for example, you have to have enough room to move around and swing both forward and backhand strokes.  For baseball, you have to make pitching motions and swing the controller just like a bat when it's your turn at the plate.  Lots of fun, and you can actually work up a sweat playing a video game.

My family is playing Wii right now.  They just got the new "guitar hero" . My house is rocking!

What do I want?  As I get older, the list gets shorter.   Paul Potts CD,  Andre Boccelli CD, ------ a good nights sleep!   Hmmm, I will have to think about this more.

What is Wii?

A video system from Nintendo. It's totally awesome... you don't just sit there with a controller in your hands.. you actually act out what your wanting the game to do... IE. If you were playing bowling, and you were going to throw the ball, you would actually act like you were throwing the ball.  The remote nunchuck senses motion.

I've been thinking about what to get for my sons 18 and 16. The 18 yo asked for a remote starter too Brenda!- I'm not even sure where to get one from or where to have it installed. I was told though that the best starters are the ones that are factory installed. I have one but haven't used it yet. It automatically turns on the air or heat depending on the temperature - not sure if an after-factory install would do the same thing?!  I think a Wii would be cool. I could actually be exercising and not even know it!

My son has xbox 360 guitar hero. They were playing it last night and having a blast! You just gotta make sure that everyone picks a different song though  :o

I am thinking of taking my mom to see the Transiberian Orchestra on 12/29. She went with her brother last year and absolutely loved it. I like to try and do/see something different once a year. I remember the first time was when the boys were 5 and 7. Took them to see the Nutcracker. Waited too long to get tickets and had to get balcony way high. They couldn't see, and couldn't get into just listening to music that long.

This is a good thread! I'm going to check back here for ideas.

Hey Oswald "it ain't cool if your chrome don't shine!" remember that commercial. I Loooovee shiny chrome!

Yes, but you asked what I wanted under my tree. Money to pay for college expenses for my kids. Uh oh, I did it again - for me? clothes and shoes. But, seriously, that my mom's levels don't get worse and she can put dialysis further down the road.

Amen.

That's my big wish too.

But if we have to go with material things -- Probably great clothes or shoes.  Maybe a few Cast Recordings from some musicals...  a pony?  Okay.  maybe not a pony.

There is nothing special I want. I just love the gifts my kids have given me in the past. My husband takes them shopping to get something for me. I have gotten containers of chocolate pudding, pringles and fruit snacks. Of course I share these treasures with the one that picked it out for me.  :bandance;
