New to the forum, but have been on hemo for 4 plus years. I have survived having life-sites, tunnel caths, and currently have a AV fistula that keeps me alive. I am currently on the transplant list at Mayo, have been for 3 years. They tell me I am getting close to the miracle of getting a new kidney. Thank you for your views on dialysis, even after several years I learn a lot from your posts. There are good days and bad, so hang in there. I have learned one big lession, never accept what a doctor tells you absolutely. Do your own research, learn about your condition and what works best for you. Good luck to all, flatxlander

I agree with you about learning all you can about what the doctors tell you. This site is an important part of gathering that information.
Welcome!

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.
