My granddaughter Lauralie's first pumpkin carving. She actually had more fun eating it than carving it!

Awwww, adorable pics Brenda  :2thumbsup;

Well, it is now 8:53pm and i am going to say Halloween is over for me.  My wonderful and thoughtful hubby went and bought about 10 bags of candy today and i've had a total of 6 kids  :-\  Needless to say those 6 kids scored big time, i gave them handful after handful to try and get rid of as much as i can but i barely even made a dent, sooooo, now, i sit here, damn near a diabetic coma from these damn Almond Joy's (yes, i do feel like a nut)  :urcrazy;  ;D   Hope you all had a great Halloween  O0

Well, in our town (since it's a small town) they do trick or treating the night before "Halloween", so we went last night. Kids got tons, we came back home and dumped their buckets before going for more, they filled their buckets up twice. I'll post their pics tomorrow.

I put on my mumu and went to dialysis with a lei on.  Then came home and had only a few trick or treaters come to the door.  Hubby put on a Mexican hat and declared he was "Jose".  One of the kids asked him if he was a mariachi player.  I also watched Ghost Hunters until midnight.  Ohhhh scary!

Hehe. We live in a very kid oriented neighborhood. The first year we lived here, we asked a neighbor how much "traffic" we get on halloween, and she told us "not much, maybe 2 dozen or so kids." We ran out of candy within a half hour! So last year we loaded up with 5 big bags of candy and everything went smoothly. This year we bought the requisite 200+ pieces of candy. And we had maybe 2 dozen kids! We had a ton of candy left! I don't want that stuff in the house, so I made my husband take it to work to leave on the "community table" where people leave food for employees to eat! He reported it was all gone in less than 1/2 hour!!

When i first moved to my neighborhood, we'd get 50 to 100 kids on Halloween. This year we got 18 Trick or Treaters. The neighborhood sure has changed-we got OLD!
