In da House.

« on: October 22, 2007, 03:09:57 AM »

If there is a heaven and hell then this sure is hell. Yet again my heart has been broken ..will it never end? Im sat here with my beloved German Shepherd waiting for the vet to put him to sleep. Hes an old dog now, ive had him many years after rescuing him in a pityful state. He has been loyal , faithfull, protective and not one days trouble for me. My dogs are my life , they are what gets me up in the morning. I know its the right thing to do as i cant see him suffer, he is miserable and has lost control of his bowels , so i know its time to say goodbye but its breaking my heart. I have never ben so miserable in all my life.
R.I.P.  OTTO    MY BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL DOG . Wait for me at the Rainbow Bridge x

My heart goes out with you about Otto.  :'( It is the right thing to do, but it is one of the hardest things to do. I had to do that with my last dog and it took two years for me to get Scooter. It was very hard. Then about a year ago I had to put my moms dog to sleep and it was hard because it was the last link to my Mom, who passed away in 2003. I know they are together on the other side of the bridge. You can leave a memorial on the Rainbow bridge website for Otto, that's what I did for my last dog Bennie. Our pets love us unconditionally now if humans would learn how to do this the world would be a better place.

R.I.P. Otto may you play and run pain free on the other side forever.

That's one of the hardest things to do. Let our pets go and be free forever. I told my fiancee there HAS to be animals in heaven. I want them there. That's what consoles me, that when I die, my beloved animals will be there waiting for me.  I am sorry, Kickstart. That's such a heartbreaking decision to make. It hurts, and will hurt for such a long time.  :grouphug;

Goofy, no, I hadn't seen that, thank you for posting it!!  My idea of heaven is a green pasture, with cows, sheep, dogs, cats, and, my loved ones, of course, and perhaps a shelter?

Sorry to hear about your pup, it is never an easy decision to make to put ones dog down even for the best intentions to comfort them.

I'm crying reading this. Pets have always been members of my family, and I know it hurts to have to make this decision. I agree with the others...our pets have to be in heaven with us or won't feel like heaven.  :grouphug;
