Kari did you have a co-signor? I really got screwed on student loans because I paid mine off after about ten years of owing them and then they came after me for my ex-wifes student loan and got stuck paying it in full also because I co-signed. She co-signed mine also so I told them to go after her for mine,  but they said they couldn't find her so they made me pay both.

I sure wish that stupid student loan was able to be wiped out with the bankruptcy! Man, I'm going back to school, partly to save money because of that damn thing! It costs less to go to school per month than the monthly payment of $300 I would be paying otherwise! By the time i get out of school again, I'm terrified of what the monthly payment will be like. I'm stuck paying for that loan for the next 20 years and my first degree got me nowhere!

I don't know what your getting deposited into your checking/savings, but my checking/savings accounts cannot be garnished b/c all the money deposited in them are SSDI checks.

I'm sick of charities that phone me asking for donations. I tell them "I"m not working. I can't give you anything" and hang up quick.
