I attended GLAD training yesterday and have some ideas for my classroom lessons.
I just woke up from a nap, after having attended an early Toastmasters meeting.  My sister gave a speech in the contest.

Well for starters:

1)  It's a beautiful sunny day here in So. Cal.  It's about 95 degrees! 

2)  My disability check finally came to me with 3 months back pay.  KA-CHING!  LOL.  :2thumbsup;

3)  Dialysis is a great thing.  Without it, I wouldn't be posting on this forum at this time.

My baby kittahs are now stumbling around, taking over my house, one room at a time! They'd been under my bed for 5 weeks, they are beeyootiful!!

It's gonna be a nice week the rest of this week, up to upper 60's. It's a start!!!  Spring is here!!

my husband is going to the football banquet for his team and I do not have to fix dinner
my children will be at church tonight and I will be home alone for 3 wonderul, carefree hours
a jerk-head at dialysis got fired or quit, who cares, that tech is out of my life
I am going to eat a small order of chicken chop suey
the weather is beautiful
the second half of the chop suey will be eaten for breakfast tomorrow at the big D, screw the nurses
I only had one 8 ounce Pepsi yesterday and one 12 ounce coke
and a good day to you

The weather is nice today.
I ate a carne asada burrito that left the other teachers drooling over it at lunch.
My cat is on the desk visiting me while I type this. She makes me smile whenever I poke or kiss at her belly.
The dog's leg has healed and she is so much happier on four legs than on three.
Hubby is getting ready to travel.  Back to his old routines!  Hurray!

Marvin had a check-up today, and all of his labs (except BUN and creatnine, of course) were PERFECT !!  His neph said Marvin had the labs of a perfectly healthy person!  It was a good check-up, and Marvin is doing -- and feeling -- great!  Life is good.

Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017

It's sunny, breezy and beautiful out, so I have windows open and fresh air blowing thru the house.  Maybe it will blow away some of the dust and cobwebs!

I've got chocolate in the fridge.

There are leftovers for dinner so I don't have to cook.

Adding to this post really helps me when I'm having a lousy day - having to type out what is going well reminds me that my entire day isn't a disaster!

Great news about that leg OB.

It's a gorgeous day here in Toronto too. 
My friend's Mom sent me some of her amazing pasta sauce (no potassium restrictions for me yet).
My husband has been very sweet today and just got home to make dinner.

Cadaveric transplant 1985
New upper-arm fistula April 2008
Uldall-Cook catheter inserted May 2008
Haemo-dialysis, self care unit June 2008
(2 1/2 hours X 5 weekly)
Self-cannulated, 15 gauge blunts, buttonholes.
Living donor transplant (sister-in law Kathy) Feb. 2009
First failed kidney transplant removed Apr.  2009
Second trx doing great so far...all lab values in normal ranges

OB, great news that you are getting fitted :bandance;  :bandance;!  I hope it goes well.  Making prosthesesm is what my dad did for a living (he also wore a leg!).  He used to get a kick out of showing how well he walked to potential clients. He loved his job!

That would be an exciting job helping people to walk again.
The one that works with me says they have came a long ways and are improving all the time.
I just hope I can learn quickly.
I feel scared tho of losing balance, falling, etc.  but excited about taking a step again
and having 2 socks and 2 shoes on again after about 18 mos.
