I hope you enjoy that chili con gato, mate!
Hmmm, let me see... animal cruelty? While 'animals as food' (imagine that!) was clearly commented on, cruelty was in no way a part of it.THIS IS A SERIOUS POST. And, Goofynina, it needs to be read to the end.I love animals, particularly cats. My fat cat, Harry, sleeps next to me every single night as he has done for the last 14 years - with his head on my pillow, his paws around my neck in an embrace as warm as a spouse's, breathing his cat breath into my face, and he wants nothing more in return than some petting and food in his bowl. The little guy, Thurgood, just loves Rolando's wife - greets her in the driveway every day and converses with her at length (he's part siamese). All he wants is for someone to take his food out of the bowl and put it on the floor (little phreak!)[And now, the birthday thread tie-in] Even Rolando, a typical male, is nice to them - he gave them each a little piece of birthday cake with ice cream today.I find absurdity to be quite funny. Nothing is further from my reality than cruelty to animals. The thought of my pets being made into a chili is not even a part of my plane of existence. That little side thread was absurd and therefore it amused me (not to mention Rolando, and I would guess George Jung too.)The cats are not missing. Harry is right here at Rolando's "feet", bathing himself, getting ready for bed no doubt; and Thurgood is playing with his furry little mouse.Censorship - as an administrator, you have the power to exercise it. However, as an administrator I would expect to see more wisdom than the simple imposition based on your own bias. There are forms of humor which I do not appreciate, and I see them here on IHD. But you will never, ever see me asking for censorship because I appreciate the rights of others to express themselves and also for others to read and enjoy them. Perhaps it was strictly a personal request? No, apparently not since you signed it with your title. In my opinion, your "request" is inappropriate.
