  :) Hi,
My sister has PKD and she will need dialysis and transplant in the future, so I am trying to find out everything I can.
Hopefully she can stay healthy - she's 50 now and has been on blood pressure medications for several years.
I have been reading the forum for some time and have learned a great deal.

Hi, Pinkrose! What a nice thing to do for your sister! She needs all the support and information she can get now, so she can make well informed decisions and understand what's happening. Hopefully she'll come on board too, at a later time!  :welcomesign;

Pinkrose, you sister is very fortunate to have you!  I would love for someone else to do research and be informed about the situation. Good for you.  Glad you found this site. It has been a lifeline for many of us and we all care for each other.  There is so much information and if you don't find what you are looking for, just ask.  Someone will find the answer for you. :welcomesign;

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.

Welcome to our community.  I agree with Goofynina - Pinkrose is a beautiful name.  I am so happy that you loved your sister that much to take the time out to join us.  This is a very special place where we are able to support and help each other.  In fact we have become a real family.  So take advantage of all the information here.  It would be great if your sister could join as well, so she can vent when she needs to (we have to sometimes!)  Here is a hug for you and her from all of us.   :grouphug;
