Hi All

Well I am back from my 3 week Honeymoon in the states and Mexico after dealing with everything that went on back in Australia it probably wasn't the way I though my honeymoon would be.. I'm scared to see how high my phone bill will be  :-\

We started off in New York for 5 nights which I loved but found the city itself not as clean as I had imagined but what do you do with that many people on one island?! Would love to go back in winter and hopfully see it snow! The best part of the trip was having John Travolta walk straight by me and then seeing Robin Williams and Kelly Preston filming a movie near grand central station!

We then had 3 nights in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace which we loved! we tried to get tickets for Celine Dion which we couldn't get for less than $350USD per person so we decided to give it a miss. The following day sitting by the pool who do we hear singing?? Celine Dion was doing an out door private concert. So we got to see her and hear her for free!!  :bandance;

We then went to Mexico and stayed in a place called Playa Del Carmen which was beautiful but after everything I ended up in Cancun Hospital with a parasite that I had picked up. They said  I more than likely got it cause my immune system was so low!! All the stress had finally caught up to me!! After a few hours on a drip and some medication I was good to go. Loved Mexico but after that I couldn't wait to get back to the states and eat food i could trust!

Finally we ended in beautiful LA for 3 nights which I loved!!This was my favorite place by far loved the people the city and all the dogs people have!!!  :) I shopped until i dropped and cant wait to go back for a second honeymoon!!

All up it didn't feel like a honeymoon cause my heart and head was here the whole time!! I also wanted to thank everyone for all their support and well wishes and prayers it means so much to have so many people who really know what we are going through.. Amanda is a very strong and courageous person and has already been through too much but I know she will be fine and have a long and healthy life with her new kidney!! Hopfully we can both make our way back together and get to meet up with you all.

Thanks Rose

PS Will post some pictures shortly.

Welcome home Rose. It sounds like you had a great time. I went to LA on my honeymoon and also had a ball.  ;D  I would love to go again.

The hospital trip must have been a bit scary, glad to see you home safe and sound.   :cuddle;

Welcome home Rose, and again Congratulations on getting married. We loved the wedding pictures.. you looked gorgeous :)

It must have been a very stressful time for you with worry and concern for Amanda but I am sure you at least will always be able to remember your honeymoon!! And who knows, maybe sometime soon when everything is sorted for Amanda and you you both can have another "2nd" honeymoon with no worries... maybe under a palm tree somewhere for a week with a cool drink by your side and nothing to worry about apart from "do I swim or sunbake?" he he.

Welcome home! :)

Welcome home little Rosie,  ;)

I'm so glad you enjoyed most of our your honeymoon.  Sorry you ended up in the hospital for a brief time. The best thing though Amanda is doing great and you had your wedding and your honeymoon and can now get yourself some probably needed rest. Give your sister a hug and move forward. There is no hard feelings that you picked your husband over me.. ;) just kidding. :lol;  Enjoy your life together you look like a great couple and he is very lucky to have you.

:waving; Hi Rose!
Thanks for the update. I am happy you had a good time despite all the challenges. I know you were torn about leaving after Amanda's surgery, but you cannot time these things - life just happens!
I am so disappointed that I missed your Los Angeles visit due to my being on vacation - but it just means we will have to come see you and Amanda in Oz!
Can't wait for photos from your wedding and honeymoon!
