I am not looking forward to the winter snow anymore. The only thing positive from that weather now is I can use my snowplow to earn a little cash.

Oh, come on guys! Who can dislike snow?! it's beautiful. Check out A. Adams pics to see the beauty of it.

Shoveling, ice on windows, black ice, crappy looking car...I love it all.

I mean, I love living in SoCal but would prefer the change of the seasons, leaves turning, my nose running, having hat head, ugly shoes...it's all good baby!

You like it because you live in So. Cal!!!!  ;D  Live in a state that has a snowy winter, ice storms, freezing cold mornings where you can't feel your feet, nose or butt and then say how much you like it!!!   :rofl;

I lived in Washington State for 3 years and Virginia for 3 also. I haven't been immersed in the snow culture but enough to know that I still love it. It just cleans everything.

Okay, so for the first year my husband wouldn't let me drive the car, I couldn't get up my driveway because I kept sliding back, I erroneously put hot water on my windshield thinking that would melt the ice, it was still a bunch of fun. Fishing when it's freezing, shooting skeet with snow falling down, very very beautiful...and what about the way your outdoor christmas lights look when they are covered with snow? What about the fun of throwing your California Cat into the freshly fallen snow and watch her scrambling to get back into the warm house? Aaahhh .... good times!

I grew to despise the stuff while growing up in Maryland with a yard that had an acre long driveway with a 60 degree incline leading to the house. It was paved and had to be shoveled with only a shovel constantly (even tractors with chains couldn't climb the hill to plow it!)! It took over 8 hours to do! One winter, we got 3 feet of snow, covered in a 3 inch layer of ice! That was the worst EVER!!! It took 2 weeks to get out of our driveway. We lived out in the country, and got snowed in by enormous snow drifts on both of the roads that led to town. A regular sized snow plow got stuck in one, and a front loader that tried to dig it out, got stuck in the other one. You'd have thought we lived in Buffalo or Syracuse, NY! Another time, we had an ice storm so the driveway was coated in ice. We always had to park at the bottom anytime there was snow or ice. My best friend came over and had struggled about half way up, when he slipped and slid all the way back down, into the front (metal) bumper of my mother's car! He split his chin open. From then on, he would wear his track spikes (shoes) to climb our hill! I'm so happy now! I now live in a house with a very short, very flat, 100 ft. long driveway!

It's amazing, in the 2 winters I've lived here in Ohio, I haven't seen as much snow as we'd get in half a winter living in Maryland! Life out here comes to a complete stop if there's a quarter inch of snow. In MD, there could be a blizzard, and people would still go out shopping!

Another reason cold is better than warm?

In public, you can put more clothes on when it's cold, but you cant take clothes off when it's hot!! At least not all of them.

We have had unusually gorgeous weather so far. Temps in the 80's. Snow will be here soon. Two years ago we had over a foot of snow on Oct 5.

When i moved to Reno (Job Corps) I lived in that stuff, we literally had to walk to our classed in 2' of snow, it was awesome, it was great when we would be out partying kinda late and we were able to stash our beer in it *hiccup* (did i say that out loud) :P   But i am one that loves to visit the snow but wouldnt want to deal with it for very long.  :snowman;

I live in Wisconsin and love it when it snows. It is a must to find a huge empty parking lot and do donouts or be the first one down country roads not plowed yet, or just walk through your neighborhood and listen to the quiet snow fall. When the sun comes out the next day and the snow is all stuck to the trees and it is bright white it is awesome. Then as time goes on it all gets gray and dirty and the sun goes away and it stays cold and gray for weeks on end. That is the shi..y part of winter....Boxman

I love snow in southern California.  When it is around it is always up high on the mountains.  I can look at it, admire it, look forward to summer but not ever have to shovel it, drive in it, or slip in it.  Snow is wonderful!

I  really love the change of seasons. We have been having beautiful weather here in Michigan, but I am looking foward to the crisp fall air and the beautiful colors of the autumn leaves. I am also looking forward to November and December and being home for the holidays. I had an exciting time last year when I was 500 miles away during Thanksgiving and Christmas while I had my transplant at Mayo, but I am so looking forward to the first snow of the season, cross country skiing and decorating my house this year. Honestly, I am just enjoyng life and the world that God has created - I have so much to be thankful for!  ;D

I miss the snow. Well, right up until I go somewhere with snow and realize how freezing it is. I use to live in North Dakota for quite a while and got use to freezing cold winters with tons of snow. But once I left there, I became a wuss and now I get too cold if it is 60 degrees, let alone negative anything!! It is nice to visit a place with snow, but I don't think I will live anywhere with real winters for a very long time.

I don't mind a dusting, but I hate the slush and muck that comes after a big storm, I don't mind the leaves in the fall but a lot of snow... stay away!
