SKYDIVING!
The first pic is me in freefall, at about 11,500 feet up - that's about 2 and a quarter miles.
Second pic is just after the chute opened.
Third is about a minute away from landing.

It's totally amazing!  You gotta try it!

I'm still on an adrenalin buzz hours later!   :bandance;

I am glad you had fun. I think life should be grabbed and throttled...so why am I just sitting here?

Hopefully, I can go again next year.  It's kind of expensive, so my family went in together to pay for it as an early birthday gift for me.  I wasn't nervous, just excited.  The plane ride was gorgeous.  We flew up over the lake and you could see dozens of sailboats and miles of farm and forest.  The only scary part was the instant you sit on the edge of the plane with your feet dangling over, looking down and thinking "Oh @#$%#, what am I doing?"  Free fall was really intense, but it's over in a few seconds.  The chute snaps open without less of a jolt than I was expecting, although I do have a few good bruises from the harness.  After that, all I could do was laugh - it was truly amazing floating down.  The tandem jump instructor let me steer the chute on the way down, and it was all over way too fast!
