Lately, the only problem I've had at Dialysis is the fact that they took away all our channels when me moved to the new clinic.

But that changed today due to YanRay (I have changed his name to protect his stupidity.)

Long story short, I refused to have him hook me up because he's just not very bright.  I don't trust him.

I requested someone else to hook me up, but when it was time to come off, I took a gamble and let him take me off.

I started cramping ten minutes before I was too finish.  I was nearly on the floor, trying to apply wait to my calves because this guy JUST STARED AT ME BLANKLY.

Then, in the middle of my cramps, he just walks away.

WALKS FRICKIN' AWAY!!

I looked for the clinic manager, but since we close early on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday's because there's not enough patients.

I'm going to make it VERY CLEAR that I don't want YanRay anywhere near me or my machine.

How does incompetency like this flourish in contemporary Dialysis clinic's??

Frightfully amazing...

I have been lucky.  The new techs are too scared of me to want to do anything to me and the old techs know I will write them up or complain really loudly if I don't like what they do to me.  They know to listen to me. I am the leader of the team, not some tech with a high school education  who can set up a few lines and a dialysis kidney.  Me, the team Leader, yes ME!  Talk to ME when decisions are being made.

I had a tech ask me what bath I was on one day and I said a 2K. The nurse came over and announced I was on a 1K.  I asked when the hell that had happened.  And wouldn't it be a good idea to inform me of any changes?

The leader of the team...that's the way it should be!  I wish medical professionals just realized it, and treated patients with more respect.

As a kidney patient and a dialysis worker....the clinic is only as good as the administrator who runs it! Always take care of yourself. Esp. in there.
