I'm asking that we all say a few extra prayers for Bajanne. She is keeping her faith but struggling in her search for work due to losing her previous job.

Bajanne is the quiet one in the bunch here and never asks for a thing, she just quietly draws on faith and does her job, never complaining.

 Aurora here is my plea that your situation improves soon. We Love you.

Goofynina and Epoman - Gone But Not Forgotten

WWW
« Reply #5 on: August 25, 2007, 06:32:28 AM »

You guys don't know how I was blessed when I saw this thread.  I had just come to Off-Topics to post, saying that I needed to let you guys know what has been happening with me.  I was so surprised to see this thread.  Thank you for your caring thoughts and prayers.
Well, I realised that not only was I hurt by the letter I received, but also the fact that they took so long to let me know that they were not renewing my appointment meant that I could not find a position back in my country.  Where academic jobs are concerned, people are already doing their staffing for Aug-Sept from Mar-Apr.  It did not work out for the school I was hoping I could go to, as the Board had already someone for the position.  So I am here - out of a job from Aug 31.  Went and checked and found out that my medical insurance payments will go from $64 a month to $397.
What I have decided to explore is a trade licence which will allow me to conduct my own business.  I will be offering a language services (classes, tutoring, interpretation, translation).  I will also be coordinating language stays (French students from Guadeloupe).  I conducted a successful one just recently with 19 students.  I am not of an entrepreneurial nature, but I guess I will have to develop that, and quickly.
Thanks again for thinking of me.  Sorry that I have not been posting much, but I have to move out of my apartment, and 10 years of stuff aint easy!  I am also alone as my daughter is off to university, so that makes it a little more difficult.
Love you all :grouphug;

You have been in my prayers all summer. What they are doing to some of us teachers is horrible.  Normally I would be starting back to school next week. I have been very down this week and just want my old life back.  I am so sorry this has happened to you.  Sluff if right, you are the quiet one that is full of wisdom  and faith.  You are the rock on this site.  We love you! :grouphug;

Aurora, What can i say other than i am sorry this is happening to you but the Lord works in mysterious ways my friend, He has a plan i know He does.   Whatever you do, Please keep your Faith and just take it one day at a time, we will always be here for you.  You truly are the Rock of this site and i am afraid of what kind of posts we would have had "Auntie Bajanne" not put her foot down (i know Epoman appreciated it also)  ;)   I am sending good thoughts and extra prayers your way ALWAYS....  Love ya girlfriend...  :cuddle;

Bajanne, I knew that you were leaving the current job but didn't realize you
were struggling t find work.  I will keep you in prayer and I do pray that your
plan works out.  Life throws difficult circumstances at us and as I keep tellling
my best friend, "Lean heavy on the Lord with everything in you.  He will
see you through."  I miss working.  I haven't been able to work because of
my foot.  I miss the people, getting out, and of course the income.
I pray things smooth out for you soon.

Bajanne, I know how it feels. I lost my job shortly before Christmas one year and it took me until mid-March to find a new one. I know exactly how stressful and depressing it can get. Hang in there, and one thing I always try to remember, "if He brought me to it, He shall bring me through it". Best of luck with your new endeavor!!

I talked to Bajanne yesterday and things are not going well. The movers were there moving all of her stuff, so it appears she is moving. Please keep the prayers coming, she deserves so much better.
