World's Best Beach..Lanikai..Oahu, Hawaii

« on: August 23, 2007, 08:23:38 PM »

In the beginning all I wanted was to finally be able to watch a little HDTV.  Then, things started to grow.

Now there isn't any more room unless I add another cabinet.  Hmmm.  If I had to do dialysis again this MIGHT be the place to do it.

Top to bottom...HD Monitor, XBox 360 Elite, Directv HD DVR, HDMI switcher, HAVA Platinum HD, Slingbox Pro, Upconverting DVD player, external DVD burner, and a Dell C521.

It takes a few watts to make all this stuff work...what a mess!  :rofl;

Great setup, but If I were you I would want to try and separated the power load a bit.  Is that other outlet in the picture on the same breaker?  If your not sure an easy way to test is to plug a lamp or nightlight into both locations and flip the breakers or remove fuses whichever the case may be.  If both go out ah well, but if one stays on your in business.  Just a suggestion.  Also I would love to see your main setup if this is just a satellite location.

The large silver box at the bottom would be his Dell C521 computer with and an external DVD burner drive sitting on top of it.

Zach, does that go for PBS throughout California?   ???

Here is California's PBS station search engine:
http://www.pbs.org/search/search_localize_results.html?confirm=%2Fsearch%2Fcustomize%2Fyes%2Fredir%2Fsearch%2Fsearch_programsaz.html&address=%2Fsearch%2Fcustomize%2Fyes%2Fredir%2Fsearch%2Fsearch_programsaz.html&nopermpick=&smalllist=&tempset=&state=CA&statego.x=9&statego.y=7

The national airdate is actually Thursday, August 30th at 10 PM ET.  It's always the local station's final decision when they schedule programs, hense the phrase, "Please check your local listing for exact day and time."

As an example, KQED San Francisco is showing it on Saturday, Sept 1st at 8 PM, but only on their HD channel, "KQED Life."
KVIE Sacramento Sept 5th at 11 PM.
And KPBS in San Diego has it only on their HD Channel --all over the schedule: Sunday, September 2, 12:00am, Sunday, September 2, 2:00pm, Monday, September 3, 5:00am, Monday, September 3, 3:00pm, Tuesday, September 4, 3:00am, and so on.

Here is the search engine for other cities and states, but it is only has schedules two weeks in advance.
