I will have the cath removed Oct 7.  The boxes of solution was picked up last week. 36 boxes in all.

I hope evryone doing pd feels better than I did while on it.I was so `gaggy' and my blood pressue was so low,I could not function.  I feel like a new person on hemo,haven't felt this good in years. My only regret is I wish I had started out on hemo. I just hope this feeling good lasts forever.

On the 23rd ,I am scheduled to have access put in arm. I will be going in knowing this one WILL hurt,but if it works ,in a few months (by Christmas,perhaps) I will be able to shower again. Ah,the simple things in life never seemed so important! lol

Patty, so sorry PD didn't work for you (guess you need to change your nick, now, huh?), but I'm glad you're feeling better on hemo. Good luck with your upcoming surgeries. Keep us posted.

BTW, I'm guessing you meant August 7?

Good luck on Tuesday. What a coincidence, your having yours taken out and I'm having mine put in on Tuesday.
I hope you continue to feel good on hemo.  :2thumbsup;

My neph even told my husband I was looking good.
I am now getting some very uncomfortable pains around the area where the cath is. These are inside me.Thought I might have been somewhat constipated. Took 3 pericollus last night. Guess that wasn't it ,it still hurts. Will be so glad when Tues comes. Forgot to say some very ugly colored fluid migrated up into the cath. It is about 3 inches above the blue connector. It is a brownish bloody color. Also looks like there might be some fibrin or blood clots close to the stomach ,in the cath. Hope this stuff doesn't go back down when he removes the cath.

Well,here I am folks. Had it removed today. Don't know where I got the idea that it would not hurt,BOY WAS I EVER WRONG. It hurts but only when I move. Evidently he had to cut it out more than I thought he would.

I was awake through the whole operation. I got the `happy meds and `liidacane(?)shots to numb the area. Was ok until the numbed area got feeling back.
Probably will be better tomorrow. But I hurt right now.  Whew,move and hurt. Where is that Tylenol bottle when ya need it? lol

I'm sure it will heal fast and you will be not so sore. Take her one day at a time.  :grouphug;
