Where do you get it?  I want some and so far none of the local pharmacies even know what it is.  >:(

Thanks, Kat.  Sent an e-mail to the manufacturer and got this back:

"Dear Lorelle,

Thank you for your interest in Medisystems' products.

SteriGel has been reformulated and will soon be available as MasterGel. The
product has not yet been released to the distributors.

Please provide your dialysis facility information OR have them contact me to
be added to the notification list.

Thank you,

I'm forwarding to our facility, but I do not expect them to furnish it.  They are a non-profit and try to keep costs as low as possible.

The video at the Medisystems web site shows them using it directly on the buttonhole as a lubricant/disinfectant just before inserting the blunts.

On another forum, one of the posters said they use it on the buttonhole opening and on the blunt needle to make it slide in easier.

It may take some time and effort to get it, but I will get some.

I sent a second inquiry and received the following reply:

"Thank you for your inquiry. As you may know, Medisystems was acquired by NxStage Medical as of October 1st. The SteriGel (MasterGel) product was not part of the acquisition.  Feel free to contact Annie Grina at LifeStream Medical, 206-631-2156 regarding the status of the product.

I apologize for any inconvenience.

Enjoy the holiday season."

I'll post if I learn anything further on this product.

With Mike's buttonholes being so tight and dry we need some kind of  lubricant!!  Anyone know of anything else available?
