Home Sweet Home

Current research in the field of astrophysics is showing some interesting possibilities these days.

Scientists have discovered that there are many species that thrive in extreme conditions, such as bacterias and single celled organisms.

Some of these species are so adaptable to environmental extremes, that scientists are saying that there is a distinct possibility that some of these organisms could actually travel, via asteroids or space debris, to other planets, such as Earth.

The studies of mars has convinced many scientists to seriously consider the possibility that mars was once a lush, green planet, long before Earth was, and that there is a likelyhood that something went horribly wrong with the climate on mars.

Furthermore; there is a growing consensus that it is quite possible that during the stages of deterioration that mars went through, that somehow, some kind of organisms actually migrated to Earth. Perhaps these bacteria or single celled life forms.

The theory states that it is quite possible that life from mars seeded Earth, millions of years ago, and what we have and who we are began, originated, on the planet mars!

If this is the case, one can't help but wonder and ask, 'what happened?'
What happened on mars, so long ago, that the planet was decimated and all life was threatened and eventually vanished from the face of that planet?

Perhaps what happened there is what is happening here, now. We call it 'Global Warming.' 'Climate Change.' Could this be what left mars in it's current state?
Could this be the destiny of Earth as well? Will we have to migrate to mars, Terraform the planet and attempt to return it to a state of habitability to survive?

Is the time drawing near for us to return Home?

Back to the stars?

Stay tuned....

LOVE

pure speculation, with some scientific facts to back it up, by the by. ;)

there was water on mars at one time, and still may be. that means there was very likely some form of life there, too. there are organisms that can withstand the cold airlessness of space. that is also a scientific fact.

the question ; 'where do we come from?' has been asked for as long as there are humans and human consciousness/self awareness. it's a question that will never be answered by religion. not coherently.

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.

I recently heard this discussed by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, and found it extremely interesting! :thumbup;

it does tickle the imagination, doesn't it? there's so much to learn in this amazing universe.
it doesn't surprise me that such a thing as religion, or i should say 'belief in a creator' would develop. sometimes, i feel so incredibly grateful for the fact of simply being and i feel a great desire to express my gratitude, somehow, to something, to someone...somewhere.
i'm sure too, that this is not an uncommon feeling.

If the theory is right, then the "space aliens" are here - and they are us!

Another thing to wrap your head around - we are all composed of space dust!

yeah, i like that too! 'all we are is dust in the wind....' heehee

someone once said 'all we are is solidified sunlight.' another mind bender!

or, like the wise man said once on an old sci-fi show that i can't remember the name of...
'we are the universe, becoming aware of itself.'

WOOOoooOOooo :D

it is an interesting theory, though. especially when you throw into the mix the generations of human fascination with the planet mars. we have always suspected or imagined that there was life there. maybe there was.
even the name 'mars' which refers to the ancient god of war, may be from an old, deep, genetic memory of who we were and how that planet came to be so barren.
