I've just listened to the most amazing piece of music that I've heard in years. It's Prince's new album 'Planet Earth' Compared to some of today's manufactured and derivative music it's like a breath of fresh air. So fresh and original. He didn't even release it through his record company. It was issued free with a British national sunday newspaper. Apparently he did this completely independantly and then set up a deal for it's relase in Britain through the newspaper. He will not make anything like the same amount of money from it as he would have done with a major record company distribution network. But hey heres a guy that although he has made big bucks in the past has always cared more about artistic content rather than sheer comercial gain. A true artiste I say.

Kickstart I could rip the tracks to mp3 size on my PC and then email them to you. Would take about 10 to 12 minutes to downlowd onto your pc. Alternatavely I could send you a copy of the CD through the post. It may be possible to download off the internet but I don't know to which site you'd go to get it. OMG, Ken? You like Prince, how awesome (we are talking about the same Prince arent we)   We've seen him twice in concert and let me tell you he was the best performer, let me tell you, he brought the house DOWN!!! Where can i buy this CD? I didnt even realize he was coming out with a new one. Thanks for the heads up my friend

Yeah we sure are talking about the same Prince. Apart from my copy of Purple Rain he's an artiste whom I havn't taken much notice of in recent years but when I heard this, WOW!!!!! What an amazing talent. It's probably my age or something but there's not been very much in the way of new music that has impressed me for several years until I shoved this into the oriface of my CD player. I don't know how the album is being distributed in the US. Maybe you need to visit a website and download it. If you can't get it anywear I can convert it to MP3 and email it to you.
Fabulous, it makes ME proud that he is getting recognized even as he is getting up there in age as well, i guess it is true, the older you get the better you get  YOU GO PRINCE!!! If it wouldn't be any trouble, i would love if you sent me a song so i can sample his style on this album, I would appreciate it greatly Ken  i will pm you my email addy, thank you so much for taking the time to do this for me.  |
