Let me intoduce myself, My name is Serge and I have been on Home Hemo for over three years. Dialysis works. Was feeling like crap for awhile before I went on. Spent lots of time napping. Now working as much as I want and also Vol Fire fighter. Have been in end stage renal since childhood. Managed to stay off dialysis till I was in my forties. LUCKY. Now it is part of my life ,same as breathing. Smile and do the best you can with what  you got. Life doesn't end with dialysis, sometime it starts over again.

Hi Fireguy,

I dated a fireman once!  We won't go there!  ;)  Welcome to the site and you probably feel "lucky" that you didn't have to go on dialysis until your 40's since it has been haunting you since childhood.  Glad you "like" it!   ;D  If you ever get frustrated, you can vent here.  Plus I'm sure you have a lot to share.  Welcome~

Welcome to the board.  My uncle was a volunteer firefighter for over 10 years - I have the utmost respect for you guys.  I've heard some wild stories.

Welcome to the site, I hope you enjoy it and find it helpfull. I ask that you reply often to others posts to help them find answers or just listen to a fellow person in the same situation as yourself. Be sure to post your experiences in our "Home Dialysis" section. Once again welcome to the site.
