Come on all of your home dialysis people show us your home setup.

Post pictures here of your Home setup whether it be NxStage, Nocturnal, Aksys, CAPD, etc, etc. You get the idea. I will add mine as soon as I start my NxStage at home.

Please be sure to make the picture a .jpg and size the file down and keep it under 200kb. If you need help adding a picture or sizing it just ask.

- Epoman

Update: I will adding pics in this thread as I find them on the net and get the owners permission.

Wow, it really IS small!

Its amazing little machine, espcially for dialysis patients on the go. I mean c'mon, you can move it anywhere around the house or even travel with it. Weighs only 70lbs but Nxstage is bringing the weight down to 50lbs......eventually, it will get smaller, that's their goal.

Yeah, it's only available in the USA rigth now, however there are plans to expand. I start my first day of training tomarrow. :o I'm scared shitless. As for the which state, just go to the nxstage site and contact them and ask them which states have reps.

ok thank you :) I hope they are getting it in PA :) Good luck on your training but don't be intimidated by it! Look at it as an opportunity to learn something that will improve your health and give you back some control ;)

No, anyone doing a form of dialysis at home is welcomed to attach pictures of their setup.  :)

okay :)

But these are not present since now I am on in clinic hemo 3 x a week (M/W/F).

These are in order:

CAPD through Fresenius in Canada (Ontario)

and the 2nd is CCPD, the Cycler machine through Fresenius again (even though now I hear PD has switched to Baxter just recently) and is called the IQ Machine.

That was near the beginning of my CAPD time at that time it was required at the beginning when you first "connect". Then you can take it off because of the great "snap-disconnect" feature from Fresenius (and as far as I know Baxter has this too).

When I first was doing PD back in 1990 you HAD to wear a mask for connecting AND disconnecting as there was no "fast connect" feature.

I am glad things have changed and improved medically in the last decade ;)

Oh I see. We were only told to wear a mask if we had the flu or something like that, or it might of been a cough I cant remember.

Hi Everyone,
Here's my husband Len during dialysis today with his favorite girl (Winnie) close by. Our other yorkie (Willie) is never very far. Winnie is a daddy's girl and spoiled rotten.

willieandwinnie,  does your husband do Hemo-Dx at home?  What about infection with Winnie on his lap?

Yes, my husband does hemo at home. We have been for over three years. The dog never gets in chair until after Len is on and taped up. The doctor's have told us that the bugs and germs that are in our home he has been exposed to for years and they are no danger to him. More likely to get something from hospital, clinic and grocery store then at home. Home-hemo is the best thing for his health that we have done.
