Ahhhhh the smell of diesel fresh or exhaust.  I love it.

I paid $2.89 for gas today.  It is still too much.

It is between $2.88 and $2.91 a gallon here today. Only have less than a 1/2 a tank which won't last long with school and doctor trips.

Gasoline Prices Below $2 / Gallon in Parts of US

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Filed at 3:43 p.m. ET

HOUSTON (AP) -- Gasoline prices have fallen below $2 a gallon in some parts of the U.S. as the impact of plunging oil prices and reduced driving are finally taking hold.

In Ohio, the Web site GasBuddy.com, where consumers post prices they spot, said a few stations in the Cincinnati suburbs were now charging $1.99 for regular.

The national average for a gallon of regular fell 3 cents overnight to $2.668, according to auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That's roughly a dollar less than what was paid just a month ago and 18 cents below year-ago prices.

Seems like another thread said gas was about $1.64 when Bush took office. At this rate it may actually be lower when he leaves. Since I started driving the Miata most of the time, I only fill up about once a month and seldom notice the price on a daily basis.

$2.47 - $2.59 a gallon depending on which paart of town your in here. E-85 now $2.09 so hopefully gas will be even lower on Monday when I can afford to get gas again. This E-85 gas rebate is gonna pay off when I file in December.

Any body still have the Sunoco stations where you still can dial up your octane and at what price. I miss those stations...Boxman

I'll let you know on Monday when I buy gas. Thursday it was $2.59 where I usually buy my E-85 gas ($2.01). If I knew about it at the time, I could have gotten a rebate from the state for buying an E-85 powered vehicle, which would have meant and easy $3000, S.O.*! >:( Fuel Rebate I am going to get has come to roughly getting back $750 dollars. I do miss buying regular gas because of the higher octance and well better engine performance off the line  ;D

Supply and demand!  OPEC is working to get prices back up..

Oil prices up after record falls

Oil prices rose almost 3% on Friday - but falling demand pushed crude to its biggest monthly drop in October.  US crude ended the month down 32% as demand continued to slow in the United States and other big oil users.  Oil reached a record of $147 a barrel in July, but prices have since fallen by more than half.  Members of the Opec oil cartel have called for more production cuts to boost prices - last week the cartel cut output by 1.5m barrels a day.  Oil prices were helped on Friday by a share price rally on Wall Street, which eased some investors' concerns about demand in a slowing global economy.

Supply cuts

In New York, light sweet crude oil closed up $1.85 to $67.81 a barrel. Earlier in London, Brent crude rose $1.61 to $65.32 a barrel dollars.  The price rises came amid signs that Opec was reducing supplies - in line with their agreement.  Kuwait informed customers it was cutting crude supplies by 5% in November.  Earlier in the week, Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates told their customers they would receive less oil.  But the world's biggest exporter, Saudi Arabia, has yet to inform its customers of any fresh curbs.  Venezuela has said Opec should further cut oil output by another 1m barrels a day and set a minimum price target of $70 or $80 a barrel.
