Our gas prices are the highest in the US!
Regular gas in Los Angeles:
Arco (cheapest) - $4.19
Mobil and Chevron - $4.57
Here's a map of the nationwide prices (from http://www.losangelesgasprices.com/Price_By_County.aspx)

Ours went down, at BP it is now $4.31 as I walked the dog today and my dad paid $4.19 (cheapest in area), however I am sure it is more expensive if I had to go into Chicago to buy gas

Cut the wingeing and moaning - In Melbourne we have been paying between $5.30 and $5.70 for months.  That's the Aussie dollar, too.  It's higher than the US at the moment.  Gas would probably be much higher than that in country areas, too

And your prices would be based on West Texas crude prices.  Ours are based on Tapis crude which was $20 - $30 more than the West Texas price.

It's very expensive where ever though

Too much.           >:(

$1.35 per LITER

Supposed to go up to $1.50 per LITER by summer          ::)

Gas is very expensive where I live.    It's daylight robbery, really.   I'm in Ontario, Canada. I have no idea what that converts to the American dollar.

The average in England at the moment is £1.47 per litre.  This equates to £5.56 per American gallon, which is $8.90 at the current conversion rate.

I think we win?!

However, we did get it for only £1.39 last week at Tesco ($8.32) ... and we're having panic buying at the forecourts due to the threat of tanker drivers going on strike so somebody somewhere is rubbing their hands in glee and getting very rich.
