Name:  Gerald Lewis Lively
Nickname:  Kootie J – My wife and I, once upon a time, took guitar lessons.  She on bass, me on guitar.  We played Blues and called ourselves the Kootie J Blues Band.  She quit, I have no talent but the nickname stuck.  You can Google my nickname and find all sorts of interesting stuff I did.
Location: In the mountains east of Chico, CA / Yankee Hill, CA.
Age:  74
Renal Status:  No dialysis after eight months of the stuff.  However, Got up this morning to swelled up ankles and a protruding stomach.  Hasn’t happened since dialysis.
What Do You Do for a Living:  Nothing.  Retired from City Manager job.  Owned a partnership in a liquor store, once. Long career as Asst. County Admin Officer in Northern CA, Spy.
Married 37 years.  Have four great grandkids. I think.
Siblings:  Brother, sister, all dead. Sister – suicide.  Brother – probably murdered.
Pets: Auggie my Chihuahua, a great guy.  Four cats; Mindy, Mama, Suzie, Max.  They are all foodaholics.
Three bands:  Credence, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Santana
Overseas travel: Laos, Okinawa, Japan
Sports:  Record holding powerlifter.  At 65 did 420 lb squat, 300 lb bench, 325 deadlift.  Had to quit after fire burnt the house down.
Sport team fanship: 49ers; Giants
First kid: Deborah
Worst injury:  Broke my nose last month.
No Drink, No smoke.
Color blind
Savory beef over rice (secret recipe)
Why do people like me:  I have no idea.  I’m not especially social, probably due to training.  Have 138 IQ.  I like talking to women because of their unique perspective. I like listening to intelligent women.
Why do people dislike me:  I have serious problems with people who lie.
Best achievement:  Built a 62,000 sq ft  Married Joan. admin bldg and a 30,000 sq ft library in the same year. Married Joan.
Why am I here:  I’ve been through several cancers and a renal failure.  I have discovered that dialysis and cancer patients have an introspective view of their surroundings.  I like testing what that means.  So, I get into their politics and their humor.  These two subjects will tell a lot about a person.
