I am a nephrologist who has learned much from my patients over the years. I look forward to continue to learn from the patients who contribute to this website.
Hello and welcome to IHD
respect4u (= a great name which fills me with hope ...).
It would be wonderful if you - as a nephrologist - could bring yourself to not only "take" from our - sometimes terrible - experiences as an "inspiration" for your forthcoming book, but if you could also - perhaps in exchange - contribute a little to our IHD-website from your professional side of view?
Many of us here are battling - one way or another - with kidney-issues and, it could not only restore some faith, but it could also be very uplifting for IHD-members like myself, to come across a humanitarian nephrologist who could prove to consider the
welfare of kidney-patients as well... ?
I mention this, because it is extremely disheartening for patients with serious kidney-issues to come across - once again - one of "those" nephrologists, who blatantly use living people as research-material, without recognising any of the battles, patients with a kidney disease have to face on a daily basis, for which there is sadly hardly any help or assistance ...
Through your IHD-letter-box - I have sent you a letter, which outlines some of my current kidney-issues and it would be really wonderful to receive any acknowledgement or answer from you.
Many greetings ... and ... as you can see ... I am still living in hope...
Kristina.
P.S. I do hope I don’t “come over” as being a bit harsh, but many years ago I studied a little about experiments taking place on innocent human-beings between 1933-1945 ... and ... most interestingly ... what happened to the results of these experiments ... and ... these days ... medical experiments ... again ... seem to develop – unchallenged ... not quite in a well-meaning humanitarian direction ... and ... adding to that ... medical ethical boundaries seem to have become more difficult to define ...
Could it be that – by any chance - the above mentioned is misunderstood and therefore needs some clarification?
