I have noticed over the past few years being on PD that the bills from Davita they charge 2600$ a day for me to do my own dialysis?? Do any of you know about this?

FSGS/Nephrotic syndrome 2005
AV Fistula placed right arm inside elbow 4/2012
Started HD 9/7/2012
Started PD Oct 2015
Parathyroid removed 6/2019
Cellulitis in Fistula 8/2019
RT arm Fistula removed 9/2019

What they bill and what they get paid are two different things.

Private insurance negotiates its own rates, and Medicare rates hover around $300.   My understanding is that the home reimbursement rate is designed to match the in-center 3x/week fee.

If you are in the US and have been on D for a few years (>30 months) you are probably on Medicare and having something more like $1000/week paid for your treatment.
