Me with Baron von Fresenius

« on: May 02, 2007, 11:38:33 AM »

I just had my orientation meeting with the Davita NxStage program, and I can honestly say that it went VERY well. I got a full run-through on the benefits and features of the machine (both cycler and Pureflow), and I got a full overview of how the training will work, and how different aspects of my treatment will be done. The training nurse got my insurance information in their clinic's computer, and she told me that I would start training the third week in May (unless something unexpected happens). I'm so excited, but I'm also a little nervous, but I think that's normal. I'm just so delighted that this is all FINALLY starting to come together, and I will be out of hell (in-centre) soon. Take care.

 :2thumbsup;

My center manager has a meeting with the head honcho in the financial dept of the hospital next week.  He's the one stalling our NxStage program right now, while he hems and haws about the costs and Medicare reimbursements.  Hopefully, the manager can knock some sense into him and I might just get my Nxstage training started in May, too!  Congrats on getting your ball to roll!  Keep your fingers crossed for me, too, okay?
