As of today November 2, 2018, I have been on hemodialysis for twenty years!
Thanks to this site, I have managed to learn and grow in the dialysis life.
I have friends across the world.
IHD.com has saved me from many mental breakdowns and buoyed my spirits when necessary.
Thank you to all the members and especially to my friends and family!

Twenty years!  I don't know whether to offer you congratulations or commiserations, so I'll opt for the former since HD has kept you alive and with us!

Thank YOU for your support on this site and for your part in making IHD the wonderful source of information that it is.   :grouphug;

Husband had ESRD with Type I Diabetes -Insulin Dependent.
I was his care-partner for home hemodialysis using Nxstage December 2013-July 2016.
He went back to doing in-center July 2016.
After more than 150 days of being hospitalized with complications from Diabetes, my beloved husband's heart stopped and he passed away 06-08-21. He was only 63.
