After a very difficult 10 months on dialysis, my husband, Ashton has passed away.  He fought a long battle against kidney failure, and never gave up.  Please keep our teenage son in your thoughts.  Thank you all for the help navigating this awful disease.  I wished our outcome had been different, but I was fortunate to have the time I did with him.  He was the love of my life.

I'm so very sorry for your loss.  I too lost my husband, the love of my life, so I have some understanding of your pain.  I hope for the best for you and your son.  Be well.

I am so sorry, this is my greatest fear.  Your husband was just a couple of years older than mine.  This disease really sucks.

I feel sadness for the loss of your husband.  May the universe bless you and your family as you go through this time.

Condolences, and Prayers.

The one thing about this disease is that it takes courage to make the good fight,  you may not always win but the dignity is is in the struggle with this disease.  Unfortunately death is not rare and certainly painful for the family and friends.  You and your son will be in my prayers.

Thank you, all, for your kindness.  His passing was sudden and unexpected.  I think I am still in shock.
