I can see that.  Pets are so much more than animals; they are family.

I am a renal social worker.  I am happy to help answer questions, but please talk to your clinic social worker for specifics on your particular situation.

I was in the hospital a few years ago; and when they were ready to discharge me, the Nurse came in and asked if I had a safe place to go to and stay.  Well, I had my own place with my G/F of 10 years, and she was in the room.

I told the Nurse; I can't really tell you NO, because "SHE" is in the room, nodding towards my G/F.

Awhile later the Social Worker came in and made her leave while we "talked" and they brought a Security Guard with her.  I tried for almost an hour to explain to her that I was joking; but she didn't get it.

I had to wait an extra day at the hospital while the Social Worker checked things out.  I guess that is a good thing, but what a pain in the ass.  I learned my lesson, I "try" not to do that anymore...."try" I said!

Every ER or inpatient interaction at the local hospital has someone asking a question like "is your spouse still beating you?" or "are you afraid of anything?".    When asked the later, I responded "Yes, Democrats."

Politicians, Judges, and Attorneys, ALL should be locked away where they cannot cause any harm to 'Society'.

Nurses with NEEDLES!  This has to be one of my greatest fears.  I'm trying to work on that, ain't easy, but it's coming.

yes, and when I tell that story, she rolls her eyes.  When I get asked that question, I always look at her first, before I answer.  She gives me "the look"....!  :clap;
