Finally, a better excuse to start drinking again!

Short blurb on this mornings local St Louis News.

Tequila may be beneficial to bone strength.  Scientist's report that Tequila can help with calcium in bone structure.

I may have to find this report and see how this works.  Those of us with bone density problems might want to think about daily Margarita's.  I prefer Strawberry.

O.K. I looked it up.  There are a number of news articles, mostly in the UK, but there is a report out of Harvard Medical.

http://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/truth-tequila-bones-201605259671

This report details how an ELEMENT found in tequila was given to female mice that had their ovaries removed for eight weeks then thigh bone section was measured larger than the control group.  This may indicate that element aides intestinal bacteria to cause beneficial absorption of intestinal transfer, promoting bone growth.

This was NOT done with Males.  Tequila was not used.

This study only reinforces that much further study of intestinal bacteria is needed.

I like strawberry margaritas too.  It's something I tend to get when I go out for drinks with the girls, cuz I can only have one and it tends to last a while.

As an aside, anyone know where to get good margaritas in Atlanta?  I told my Bestie that I'd buy her one when we were there to celebrate her birthday, and her clear mammogram.  One more and she's officially cancer free. *G*
