Several members have been talking lately about locations for a major meeting. Originally we thought that Los Angeles was going to be the place because it was Epo's home base and just seemed logical.A couple of things we have to think about are how expensive it would be for patients to get to a location and whether dialysis would be available for a number of people.A light went off in our heads when the topic of Las Vegas came up. Most people can reach Las Vegas pretty cheaply and there is plenty of visitor dialysis available there. There are lots of things to do in the area as well with the familiar gambling and food available but also lots of cool places like Lake Mead, Hoover dam, The Colorado River, Red Rock Canyon, Mt. Charleston, and Laughlin nearby just to name a few.Flights are available from all over the U.S. and there are direct flights from many international locations as well. So...the topic here is Iowa but lets think about Las Vegas for a larger meeting when the time comes.
