In the UK we dont have 'best burgers'  :'(

How about minced meat pies?

Do you mean the ones with gravy ? or the sweet ones we have at christmas ? ;D
We do have McDonalds here but somehow i think it may be different to the ones in America.

Most people in Australia wouldn't have a clue what you mean by "cilantro" so for anyone else who may have been wondering, it's another name for coriander  :)

i'm rather partial to carls jr's $6 burger. if i'm in the colorado springs area there is a place called red top. they make a burger that is possibly the biggest burger in the world at least 9 inches across!!! and positively yummy.

Carl Jr's. is the same as Hardee's here in the south.  I don't care that much for their burgers but their bisctuits are fantastic.

When I lived in Tennessee we use to go to Krystal Burger joints.  They served square burgers and good chili.

This past Sunday we picked up some burgers from a local meat and veggie market that were absolutely to die for.  The have a regular burger and then others that have things mixed into the meat.  They have Mushroom, Green Pepper, Holipeno Peppers (Yeah I know it's probably spelled wrong), and new to the group Bacon.  We bought some of the bacon ones and cooked them up on the grill.  Because the bacon is mixed in with the meat it gives the meat a different flavor, and it was a million times better tasting than a normal bacon cheese burger.  I also added some slices of fresh mozzarella that I cut off a cheese ball I had gotten earlier in the day.  I think I am going to pickup more to grill up for Fathers Day this weekend.

That'll be a double double, protein style, spread, pickle, no tomato, and mustard.  Was that right?

Rob showing off his pot of gold!

« Reply #66 on: June 25, 2007, 05:17:10 PM »

I don't think the Northeast has In-Out burgers and White Castle, so I'll have to take everyone's word on how good they are.

For chain, I LOVE Fuddruckers, very good.  We also have a chain out here called the 99 Restaurant, very good burgers.  I think the best burger I have had in a while has to be in North Conway, NH at this place called The Moat House.  Their bacon cheeseburger was SO GOOD!  YUMM!!

If I am grilling at home, I like them with 93% lean, nothing less, too greasy for me.  I like Worsterchire Sauce in mine, very tasty.  I don't like anything else mixed in, bleah, kill the onions & mushrooms too, lol.  I'm a boring burger woman, I just like tomato, lettuce, ketchup & mustard.  Oh, and it has to be Heinze ketchup, anything else won't do it for me.

Leaving tomorrow, I will be in Santa Fe, NM and I am hoping to have a yummy burger at Bobcat Bite.

"Served in a green plastic basket with a handful of potato chips, Bobcat Bite’s green chile cheeseburger is different from most. For one thing, it is a big, succulent, hand-formed patty of good ground chuck. The configuration is different, too: the chile is put directly on the hamburger, then covered with cheese."

In Memphis, we go to Hueys (so good!)

In NY, I grab burgers from white castle (my old standby hangover food)

Here in Richmond, we get FIVE GUYS (amazing! www.fiveguys.com), or, when i'm really lucky, Wade will make us amazing burgers (like he did tonight!)

When OSU plays in Arizona everyone who goes to the game comes back
talking about the "In and Out" Burger.  It was on our local news.  It must be
a good burger.  Here Max & Erma's have a pretty good burger.

Thanks for the info . Will use it next time in So Cal in August ....
Nothing in Richmond is close to the In and Out ... Even the  guys abd Frys I rwad about earlier .
We have a Hardees nearby which is like Carls but NO HAMBURGERS !!!!!! They have fried chicken and the
service is really really slow .
But for a great burger in LA I would go to Cataline Airport and get a Buffalo Burger . They are great.
