Today marks one year since I had my first dialysis session. :clap;

I know there are many people here who have been much longer and I salute you.

Many thanks to my nurse, who trained us so well this stuff is now no mystery and especially to my wife who does the work 4 days a week to keep me alive.

Also to this community that lets me rant when I need to and listens regardless. It is great to know we are not alone.

Just got recent labs and my clearance is 3.4!!

He went back to doing in-center July 2016.
After more than 150 days of being hospitalized with complications from Diabetes, my beloved husband's heart stopped and he passed away 06-08-21. He was only 63.

Congratulations, one year is a wonderful accomplishment considering all the fear and dread and uncertainty that you have to conquer to survive this disease one year is a triumph of human will and perseverance.  I hope you have many more of these anniversaries  to celebrate and reflect on a difficult but rewarding experience.  It's nice to see people confront the impact this has and make a good life and thrive while doing it.
