Goofynina and Epoman - Gone But Not Forgotten

Well, the Windies are out of the running, so the team I am now backing is the Aiussies.  Just finished watching the match in Antigua where the Aussies showed the English how to play Cricket.
Symonds did an excellent job.  He would just swing - sixes and fours!

Yes it was sensational! I sat up ALL NIGHT (it started 11:15pm and finished about 7:30am) and watched this game and it was really good...

I must say I love that swimming pool there at that ground. How much fun would that be?!!! I so wish I could have been there.

It's always good to beat the poms!! AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!!! OI OI OI

Personally i think new Zealand and South Africa are the big guns along with Australia. I'd like to see an Aus vs. NZ final! That would be awesome.

It is true Cricket, like Vegemite, is an aquired taste - and it's not for everyone.. but neither is baseball.

As for sxoccer it's OK but I far prefer the action of Aussie Rules football, but hardly anyone here except a certain Carlton supporting young lady would understand :) but hey each to their own... I don't see any joy in boxing or ice hockey or horse racing.. but heaps of people do :)

well Tamara,

if you think that way, then you must know that life is in the balls not the stick, the stick is only a vessel to get there... balls are the producers of life,  (have you heard of women's crickets?  :rofl;) besides isn't cricket played with balls also, (I expected that answer from anyone else, but not from you girl, goes to show me not all girls play nice) LOL

While I was on dialysis yesterday, I watched the match - Bangladesh vs England.  And the match was being played in my country, Barbados.  Bangladesh tried really well, but they didn't have enough runs in their innings.
Yes, I really like the pools they have on the cricket grounds.
Cricket is so hi-tech these days.  Nothing like cricket in the 60's, 70's - third umpire and all!

Been watching it on the telly Bajanne, that's a great idea with the pools at the grounds, wish we had them here !

Australia have became the first team in World Cup history to wear the one-day crown for a third successive time as Adam Gilchrist's 149 carried them to a 53-run Duckworth-Lewis win over Sri Lanka.

Aussies win World Cup YAY !  :clap;
