Hello PatlerMori and Corettaride:
It has been noticed that you have put some terrible spams into IHD
and this action comes over to us as being in very bad taste
because IHD is really meant for people in kidney failure to communicate and exchange experiences
with other people who also happen to be in ESRF ...

Please stop making fun of people in ESRF by putting spams into this Webside...
... and please consider that being in ESRF is no fun at all ....

Thanks for your consideration from Kristina.

I thought about posting a message to them, too. I think it's really the same person using two identities, but whatever, I doubt they're reading anything here. They just found an "in" and will keep posting until the mods log in and see what they're doing. I'm curious about their motivations. I don't think any of us will click on the links, and they've posted it over 50 times, so what's the motivation? Maybe they're paid by the number of posts? Maybe it's just an auto-posting utility that they let run until someone takes away their access?

I have banned these people from the boards and tried to delete all posts made by them.
I am moving this post to comments and help section.
Please do not respond to these people it only encourages them to keep posting.
Report them please.

Most likely.   When you run well accepted forum software (Simple Machines counts), the interfaces are well defined and it's not that complicated to write a bot that searches the web for installations of that software, does an automated registration, and then proceeds to post.    All it takes is something like 1/100,000 people responding for it to be cost effective.

No worries. I wouldn't really respond or contact them. It only shows they found a live link.

I really try to filter these people before approving them but some slip through.

It is unlikely your message will be ready by anyone.  This sort of spam is generally done by automated bots that crawl the web looking for well known forum software packages, and then automatically post.   If by any chance the spammer read your post, they would just laugh all the way to the bank.  Spam works, which is why it is so problematic.
